Frohawks with irregular cornrows for your afropunk (or jewfro-rockin') sims. 

 

I love frohawks, and us straight-haired people already have tons of different TS3 hair options, so I figured I'd see if I could do frohawks some justice.  This was my first hair mesh ever. (And holy crap, I can understand why a bunch of hair makers end up going pay!)  There was a crazy amount of work involved to learn, make, and troubleshoot this, so I hope you all enjoy it.

 

These are enabled for all ages and genders.  Poly count is medium/high at around 7700.

Edit:  I just noticed that Tifa made a sim with this hair. (And I love the way she styled her!  I wish I could leave a comment for her!)  It looks like she has a better computer/graphics card than I do, and she took some nice, higher quality pics of the hair.  You can check it out at her blog.

This is just one of those rare finds that I couldn't just download and not leave a comment and usually I don't comment no matter how much I love an item.

I Really love your hair it looks great in my game but i have a request..would you mind taking this hair and making the afro on the top straight and to the side of the head but make it sholder length basiclly make it look like a half side braided hairstyle.. i would greatly appreciate it. i asked you because nouk dint convert her hair to ts3 yet and since you made these i was hopeing you could edit this..thanks alot

I looked up a few reference pics for what you're describing, and it looks really cute. I'd like to give it a try in the future (after I get a couple other projects I've been thinking of out of the way), but no promises! I'm still new to meshing hair, and hairs take me a long time, and I don't know if I'll be able to pull it off.

If you've never meshed

If you've never meshed before, then hairs are definitely going to be too advanced for you.  I recommend practicing on modifying more simple objects and CAS items, like in this tutorial.

If you're already an experienced mesher, then you can go ahead and try making hair.  This tutorial lists the programs and plugins you would need for hair.
